HOUSEHOLD FOOD AND NON-FOOD CONSUMPTION BEHAVIOUR IN PAKISTAN

The main objective of the study is to identify household consumption pattern in Pakistan. To fulfill objective, research incorporates microdata expenditure on twenty food and nonfood groups for period 2018- 19. Different socioeconomic demographic variables are also used explain behaviour. It concluded that most share non-food commodities has increased due an increase per capita income, but at a decreasing rate. Household size, age employment by gender have played significant role altering commodities. There both provincial regional disparities exist behavior. Housing considered normal or luxurious good, while education inferior because housing as income increased, so on. suggested government should work awareness regarding importance education.
